Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global network of young active citizens who are developing themselves and creating positive change in communities around the world. Come along to our Induction Day to find out more about our community, the opportunities available for personal and professional development and for giving back and creating positive change with a group of like-minded young people.

Join us on Saturday 9th March 2019 for free informative session on who we are, what programmes we have on offer. As a bonus, we have workshops on goal-setting, communication skills and an introduction on building a movement. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are included! You will go away with a plan for your year and how to get support to achieve them.

Schedule:

  1. Introduction to the JCI global movement
  2. JCI in New Zealand: how to get involved
  3. Journey to becoming an Active Citizen & introduction to our programmes including:
    • Active Citizenship training & volunteering
    • Governance/Leadership training programmes
  4. Communication Skills workshop hosted by JCI NZ Vice President Dion Morley
  5. Goal Setting workshop hosted by JCI NZ Immediate Past President Nurain Janah
  6. OPTIONAL: Active Citizenship Programme launch for new members
    • Grouped into teams, you will come up with your plan for personal development and create a project to impact your community through one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
