Made in 1966, he’s the eldest of the Renata family siblings. A proud alumni member of Otago University Steve is an avid supporter of wellness, sport, entrepreneurship and cultural intelligence.
Born in the small township of Kawakawa, Northland he was raised in Milton, Otago and takes pride in his Maori and Pakeha heritage. In 1994 he received a Masters degree in Marketing, to become one of the first Maori graduates from University of Otago. This followed with a career in Maori tourism at Auckland University of Technology and then a founding partner role with Les Mills International. He is now the CEO and co-owner of KIWA Digital, a leading NZ media tech company and co-owner and Director of Innov8HQ
Over three decades Steve has gained a phenomenal amount of experience and insight as a Maori-preneur, Leader, Disruptor Director and whanau member. His working relationships are felt in over 100 countries and stretch from Dunedin to Disney.
