Hello Christchurch - are you ready to taste the best Cuisine in South America? 

Peru is interesting in its gastronomy because centuries of Incan culture mixing the immigration from Europe (Spanish, Italian and German Cuisine), Asia (Japanese and China Cuisine) and West Africa have produced a unique blend of food, utilizing chilli peppers, tubers, spices and fish along with native produce.

In fact, PERU has won the best Culinary destination in the World 2018 - title for the 7th consecutive year by the World Travel Awards (WTA) - the Oscar's in Tourism 

Join Igor, founder and chef of ex-Andino Peruvian restaurant all the way from Auckland and two Peruvian foodies, Cinthya & Carolina, who love to play around with new flavours made with as much as Peruvian natural ingredients they can to the ONE NIGHT ONLY PERU POP UP RESTAURANT in collab with our family The Caffeine Laboratory Coffee Shop.

Where? The Caffeine Laboratory Cafe. 1 New Regent St (corner with 153 Gloucester Street, next to Isaac Royal Theatre). Christchurch City

Time: 6 pm & 8:30 pm (just select the time that suits you better)

5 COURSE TASTING SET MENU DINNER EXPERIENCE for $75 per person 

- Classic Peruvian Ceviche: catch of the day, fresh lime, coriander, rocoto pepper, corn and glazed sweet potato 

- Causa con Pulpo al Olivo: A smooth tasty dough made of mashed yellow potato, ground yellow chilli pepper and lime juice with Octopus and Olives Sauce

- Aji de Gallina: Shredded chicken breast, spicy yellow chilli pepper cream, parmesan foam and green oil sauce

- Lomo Saltado: Eye fillet Stir Fry with onions, tomato and fries & coriander garnish

- Barranco Crema Volteada de Lucuma: Lucuma Creme Caramel 

I bet you are thirsty after reading this. 

To refresh your paladar we will have a range of cocktails like Pisco Sour, Peru Libre and Chilcanos made with Peruvian Pisco (the original!). 

South American wines are also part of our Drinks Menu

And of course, the not to be missed INCA KOLA for the non-alcoholic drinkers.
