Governance for Emerging Leaders (Cohort 2: September 2019)

JCI NZ in partnership with Future Directors Institute is proud to present Governance for Emerging Leaders. Boards across sectors, corporates, charities, start-ups and state sector boards alike are in need of diverse thinkers and a succession pipeline. Our programme aims to create a community of young leaders in boardrooms across NZ.
If you are in the first few years of being a board director or are aspiring to gain experience on a board and want to know more, our Governance Training programme is for you. At this 2-day training workshop, you will learn how to find your unique voice and what the right board position might be for you. You will walk away having a practiced elevator pitch for your governance career and having been connected to a global community of young leaders and changemakers who will support your journey.

- Governance 101 - understanding the ‘language of the boardroom’
- Find and pitch your Unique Selling Point
- How to find the right board position for you
- Maximising your chances in the application and interview process
- Boardroom Scenarios - making the tough decisions
- Find your voice and influence as a non-executive director
