Cannabis Matters - Rose Renton Discusses Medicinal Cannabis

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Please join us for this fantastic educational and networking event in the Whakamana Museum's Cannabis Matters Education Series.

This event features special guest speaker and celebrity green fairy, Rose Renton.  Rose began her journey with cannabis medicines after her 19 year old son Alex experienced a fatal seizure that ended his life on 1 July, 2015.  At Alex's urging, Rose had begun to explore cannabis-based medicine to reduce his status seizures but this effort was ultimately too late.  Through this experience, Rose learned that fear and ignorance is dangerous in front-line medicine and acknowledged that we need a combining of traditional herbal medicines alongside modern prescription medicines.  Since then, she has worked to create both medicinal products and law reform to promote the healing properties of cannabis.

The format of the evening will include an introduction by one of the Whakamana co-founders including details on Whakamana's historic PledgeMe Campaign, followed by a presentation by Rose including plenty of time for Q&A, and then shared kai and networking.
